Kate leads the group responsible for Transfield Services’ global functions of legal, procurement, enterprise risk management, insurance, internal audit and compliance/company secretariat functions. Kate has more than 18 years’ experience working with and advising companies in the engineering, construction and services sectors in relation to their corporate, contractual and other commercial requirements. Kate’s team is focused on establishing and maintaining strategies designed to enhance business outcomes and protect shareholder value.

Tiernan O'Rourke

Tiernan is responsible for Transfield Services’ global financial strategy and policy as well as financial and management reporting, treasury, taxation, funding and investor relations. Tiernan qualified as a Chartered Accountant in Australia and received his MBA in 1996. He is a member of the Audit Advisory Committee at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Tiernan was previously Chief Financial Officer for Australand Holdings Limited and has more than 20 years’ experience in senior financial, commercial and management roles in companies such as AGL Limited, Westfield Holdings Limited, CSR Limited and Brambles Australia Limited.

Eion Turnbull

Eion Turnbull

Eion joined Transfield Services in March 2011 with more than 35 years’ experience in the oil and gas, mining and process industries. Most recently, Eion was Deputy Chief Executive at Bapco, the national oil company of the Kingdom of Bahrain, where he led a 50 per cent reduction in the occurrence of significant safety incidents and was accountable for the overall performance of the refining and marketing business. Eion has had experience in refinery management in India and also with Caltex Australia at Lytton and Kurnell, with prior roles at ICI.

Nicholas Yates

Nicholas Yates

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical), University of Sydney

Nicholas has more than 20 years’ experience across the construction and property industries in senior operational and strategic development roles and was formerly Chief Executive Marketing and Business Development. Prior to that he was Chief Executive Officer of project management consultancy, APP Corporation, acquired by Transfield Services in 2006.

Bruce James

Bruce James
Chief Executive, Resources and Energy

Bachelor of Civil Engineering, University of Sydney

Bruce has more than 35 years’ industry experience. He commenced working for Transfield Construction in 1975 and has held senior management roles including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Transfield Construction, General Manager Transfield Maintenance, CEO Transfield Operations and Maintenance, CEO Australia and Chief Executive Australia and New Zealand. In April 2011, following the addition of Easternwell to our group of companies and recent growth, two new businesses were formed in Australia and New Zealand and Bruce was appointed Chief Executive Resources and Energy.

Larry Ames

Larry is responsible for the management and growth of the Company’s Americas business. He has more than 30 years’ of global experience in senior roles in service businesses across the operations, engineering and construction, facilities management, security and logistics industries. He was most recently President of Day & Zimmermann’s Government Services business in the US, and his experience covers both the private and the public sectors

Philip Wratt

Philip Wratt
Chief Executive, Middle East and Asia

Philip is responsible for the strategic direction and management of Transfield Services in Qatar, United Arab Emirates, India and South-East Asia. He has more than 32 years’ experience across the oil and gas, and building construction industries in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. His previous responsibilities included managing strategic direction and assessing new market opportunities, maintaining a strong external focus on customer needs and resolving issues, and delivering to budget, profit, health, safety, quality and environmental targets.

Steve MacDonald

Steve joined the Transfield Holdings group in 1987 and has worked in a number of senior business development, project management and executive management roles across the business. Steve has held a number of CEO roles including CEO of Transfield Services Infrastructure Fund, CEO of Transfield Construction and Yarra Trams, which was operated by Transfield Services’ joint venture company TransdevTSL. Steve was also responsible for the establishment and successful growth of Transfield Services in New Zealand in the late 1990s.

Elizabeth has 23 years’ experience in human resources in a range of industries including financial services, health and semi-government organisations. Elizabeth is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (UK) and a Director of the Transfield Foundation (visit the Sustainable business section for more information).

Stephen Phillips

Stephen has more than 20 years’ of business and technology leadership and delivery experience in the wealth management, banking and life insurance industries, working for large companies including National Australia Bank, Westpac and MLC. Appointed in March 2011, Stephen is responsible for managing Transfield Services’ information and technology systems and brings extensive experience in leading large technology teams and shaping and implementing large business and technology transformation initiatives.
