Tony was appointed a Director on 6 March 2001 and Chairman in 2005. He was re-elected at the 2005 Annual General Meeting.

Tony is Chairman of the ConnectEast Group, a non-executive director of Transfield Services Infrastructure Fund, a director of The Global Foundation and the Australian Chamber Orchestra as well as a Trustee of the Sydney Cricket and Sports Ground Trust. He is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Patron of Infrastructure Partnerships Australia.

Tony was responsible for the development of many landmark projects, including the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, Melbourne CityLink, and a number of other build-own-operate-transfer projects as well as the redevelopment of Walsh Bay. He was an inaugural director of Transurban Limited.

PETER WATSON

Peter was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transfield Services in 2002. Peter was re-elected as a Director at the 2005 Annual General Meeting and is a non-executive director of Transfield Services Infrastructure Fund. Peter has played an integral role in the successful development of Transfield Services since its inception in 1993 and led the organisation through its public listing in 2001. Peter has guided the international expansion of the Company into North America through the acquisitions of US Maintenance, TIMEC and VMS as well as a major contract win with Suncor Energy in Canada.

He is a member of the Institution of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

He is an alumnus of The Wharton School of Executive Education. Peter is a founding sponsor of the Australian Sustainable Industry Research Centre and a fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.

Guido was appointed a Director on 14 January 1998 and was re-elected at the 2007 Annual General Meeting.

Guido played a key role in nurturing and promoting Transfield Services as a new business within Transfield Holdings Pty Ltd in the 1990s. His involvement in developing complex infrastructure projects in that period led to the development of a separate operations and maintenance business. Guido was also responsible for the Company’s foray into the ownership of Transfield Services’ original portfolio of infrastructure investments, some of which remain owned by Transfield Services Infrastructure Fund.

Guido is the Joint Managing Director of Transfield Holdings Pty Ltd. He is also Chairman of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, a Trustee of the Art Gallery of NSW and a director of Middle Harbour Yacht Club. He was also an inaugural director of Transurban Limited. Guido was made a member of the Order of Australia in 2007 for service to the construction industry, particularly through the management of large infrastructure projects, and for service to the arts in executive and philanthropic roles.

LUCA BELGIORNO-NETTIS

Luca was appointed a Director on 2 July 1999 and was re-elected at the 2007 Annual General Meeting.

Luca is the Joint Managing Director of Transfield Holdings Pty Ltd and a director of its subsidiary companies. He is also a director of Perisher Blue Pty Limited.

Luca has held senior positions within Transfield Holdings for more than 20 years, including as Regional Director Asia, General Manager, Transfield Properties and Development Director at Sabemo Pty Limited. This has led to extensive experience in the design, building and development industries in Australia and South East Asia.
Luca holds a number of positions on not-for-profit boards and committees, including Chairman of the Biennale of Sydney, Chairman of the University Art Committees at the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) and the University of Western Sydney. He is also a member of the Australian International Cultural Committee. In 2007, Luca was awarded the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence at UTS for his contribution to Sydney’s culture. In 2004, he founded the newRepublic Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation focused on political reform.

PROFESSOR STEVE BURDON

Steve was appointed a Director on 20 December 2000 and was re-elected at the 2005 Annual General Meeting. He will retire as a Director at the 2008 Annual General Meeting. Being eligible, he offers himself for re-election.

Steve holds professorial positions at the University of Technology, Sydney and Cass Business School, London. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and the Institution of Engineers Australia.

Steve is a director of Campus Living Villages Pty Ltd, Criteria Research and Analysis Pty Ltd, VisAsia Ltd, the President’s Council of the Art Gallery of NSW and the AIM Academic Advisory Board. He is also an advisor to a number of organisations including Telstra, Westpac and the Benfield Group (UK). He has previously held a number of private and public company directorships in Australia, New Zealand, India and Japan. Steve was formerly the Managing Director of OTC, Group Managing Director of Telstra and Managing Director of British Telecom, Asia Pacific.

STEVEN CRANE

Steven was appointed a Director on 12 February 2008. He has more than 30 years experience in the financial services industry. In August 2008, Steven was appointed Chairman of the Risk, Audit and Compliance Committee. Steven is Chairman of Global Valve Technology Limited and a director of APA Ethane Limited and the Sunnyfield Association. He is also a Trustee of the Australian Reward Investment Alliance, Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Steven was chairman and non-executive director of Investa Property Group and non-executive director of Foodland Associated and Adelaide Bank.

Steven’s former roles include Chief Executive Officer of BZW Australia. He continued in his role as Chief Executive Officer when it became ABN AMRO Australia. On his retirement from full time employment in 2003, Steven was appointed a Member of the ABN AMRO Australia Advisory Council.

David was appointed a Director of Transfield Services on 11 April 2008. David has strong strategic skills and extensive senior management experience in the North American market. He is a current board member of United States Steel Corporation, the GATX Corporation and ZCL Composites Inc. and is a former chairman of the American Iron and Steel Institute.

David has more than 30 years experience with North American steel producer IPSCO Inc, and was Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors from 2002 to 2007. As Chief Executive Officer he more than tripled the revenue of IPSCO Inc.

Mel was appointed a Director on 6 March 2001 and was re-elected at the 2005 Annual General Meeting. Mel will retire as a Director at the 2008 Annual General Meeting. Being eligible, he offers himself for re-election.

Mel is Chairman of the Human Resources Committee and was Chairman of the Risk, Audit and Compliance Committee until August 2008.
He is a director of Pro Medicus Limited, West Australian Newspapers Limited and Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group. Mel retired as a director of Coca-Cola Amatil in August 2008.
He was formerly Managing Director of Telecom Australia, Chairman of Telecom Australia (International) Limited, Chairman of the Major Performing Arts Board of the Australian Council for the Arts and Chairman of the Australian Ballet.

He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.
