Peter was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Transfield Services in 2002. Peter has played an integral role in the successful development of Transfield Services since its inception in 1993 and led the organisation through its public listing in 2001. Peter has guided the international expansion of the Company into North America through the acquisitions of US Maintenance, TIMEC and VMS as well as a major contract win with Suncor Energy in Canada.
He is a member of the Institution of Engineers Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is an alumnus of The Wharton School of Executive Education. Peter is a founding sponsor of the Australian Sustainable Industry Research Centre and a fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering.

Lee is responsible for the strategic development of the Company, including mergers and acquisitions. He is the Chairman of the Group Strategic Review Committee.

Matthew Irwin

Matthew is responsible for Transfield Services’ financial and management reporting, treasury, taxation, funding and investor relations. He has played a pivotal role in the Company’s global growth and in the successful public listing of Transfield Services Infrastructure Fund (TSI Fund). Matthew has 16 years experience in finance, administration and banking with significant experience working at Chief Financial Officer level.

Bruce James

Bruce has more than 33 years industry experience. He commenced working for Transfield Construction in 1975, holding senior management roles including Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Transfield Construction, General Manager Transfield Maintenance and CEO Transfield Operations and Maintenance. Bruce was appointed CEO, Australia, in April 2006. Bruce has led the Australian operations into new business areas by leveraging the team’s diverse knowledge, expertise and skills base.

Steve MacDonald

Steve joined the Transfield Group in 1987 and has worked in business development, project management, executive management and CEO roles. Steve was appointed CEO of TSI Fund in April 2007, taking on responsibility for its strategic direction and growth and seeing the new business through its float in June 2007. Prior to this role, Steve was instrumental in the Company’s global expansion, establishing the Transfield Services New Zealand business, as CEO of Yarra Trams and as Chief Strategy Officer, positioning Transfield Services as a leader in asset management services.

Paul McCarthy

Paul is responsible for these two groups’ strategic direction, growth and performance, business development, client relationships, subcontractor strategies, employee and industrial relations issues and financial budgets. Paul has 28 years experience in the oil and gas, mining and process, petrochemical, facilities management and transport sectors and has a strong background in engineering and capital delivery.

Kate has 15 years experience working with companies in the engineering, construction and services sectors. Kate leads the team responsible for Transfield Services’ global corporate governance, compliance and legal requirements.

Joseph is responsible for the growth and management of the Company’s North American business. Joseph’s leadership and 40 years experience have promoted the Company’s significant growth internationally, including the acquisitions of TIMEC, US Maintenance and VMS Inc. in North America as well as winning new work with Suncor Energy in Canada and the Florida Department of Transport.

Since joining Transfield Services in 1995, Angelo has worked in various management roles across the organisation, focusing on nurturing leadership attributes and the sustainability of our business.

Peter Parkinson

Peter has 32 years experience in senior labour relations and human resource positions. Peter has responsibility for overseeing, developing and implementing labour relations and industrial relations strategy and policy for the Company globally. Since joining the Company in 1999, Peter has held a number of senior executive Human Resources and Industrial Relations roles. Peter also holds the position of Executive Vice President Labour Relations, North America, where he has a specific focus on the Company’s growth strategy and development in that region.
