Transfield Services joint venture with Flint Energy Services Ltd in Canada captures the emerging opportunities in the oil sands industry. The joint venture is responsible for establishing and acquiring new entities to operate in the asset management related maintenance markets.

Since 2007, FT Services has contracts with major oil sand companies including Suncor Energy Inc and Shell Canada Ltd.

INSER Transfield Services S.A.

Transfield Services entered the South American market in January 2008 with the 50 per cent acquisition of INSER, a leading provider of mining maintenance and capital works services in the fast-growing Chilean market.

The resulting joint venture, INSER Transfield Services S.A., also includes subsidiary company Ingenieria, which specialises in dust and mineral extraction from mining and power waste processing.

This acquisition and entry into Chile meets Transfield Services’ global growth strategy of expanding into new markets with favourable macro-economic conditions and the opportunity to leverage global client relationships.

INSER Transfield Services S.A. has more than 1,200 employees, long term contracts with blue chip clients including BHP Billiton, Codelco and Xstrata and offices in the northern Chilean mining hubs of Antofagasta, Calama and capital Santiago.

PPS Partnership

Water

In a joint venture with Sinclair Knight Merz, Transfield Services has a five-year contract to scope, design, construct and commission new pumping stations, water and wastewater pipelines for the Water Corporation in Western Australia.

Sentinar

Sentinar is a joint venture between Transfield Services and Silcar and was established to manage Telstra’s network facilities across Australia.

Prior to the establishment of Sentinar, Transfield Services and Silcar had collectively accumulated 15 years of experience providing facilities management and telepower services to Telstra.

The name Sentinar comes from sentinel, to guard and sentina, Italian for vigilance. It symbolises the joint venture's aim to be 'guardians of the exchange' and ensure a robust and reliable network for Telstra and its customers.

TGE Energy Services

Power

TGE Energy Services is a joint venture between Transfield Services and General Electric Energy Services, specialising in the maintenance of hydro, gas and steam turbines and high-voltage generator, transformers and motors across the mining, rail and power industries. The Perth workshop in Australia is capable of manufacturing high-voltage coil and generator bars and is the only GE-licensed gas turbine repair facility in Australia and New Zealand.

TransdevTSL

TransdevTSL combines Transdev's longstanding experience in the public transport sector with Transfield Services' world leading operations and maintenance expertise.

TransdevTSL operates and maintains Brisbane City Council’s Ferry service through TransdevTSL Brisbane Ferries and owns and operates TransdevTSL - Shorelink Buses on Sydney’s north shore. The joint venture operated Melbourne's tram network for ten years from 1999 to 2009.

TransdevTSL’s public transport services have a strong track record for making real improvements to both the operations and maintenance of public transport systems.

Transfield Emdad Services

In the United Arab Emirates, Transfield Services provides maintenance and shutdown services, asset management and capital works projects to the oil, gas, power and energy sector through Transfield Emdad Services LLC, a joint venture with Emdad LLC.

Transfield Mannai Facilities Management Services (TMFMS)

Facilities Management

In Qatar, we provide strategic facilities and asset management services in a joint venture with Mannai Corporation. The joint venture comprises all of the assets, manpower and ongoing contracts of Mannai’s former building services and maintenance company Manwell Technical Services. TMFMS works with more than 100 clients including Qatar Foundation, Exxon Mobil, Shell, Qatar Petroleum and several government departments and agencies.

Transfield Worley Power Services (TWPS)

Power

This joint venture provides operations and maintenance services to Verve Energy’s 340MW Collie A Power Station in Western Australia. TWPS is implementing asset management strategies through a culture of continuous improvement to ensure an efficient, reliable and cost-effective power supply. Collie A Power Station is the biggest single generating unit in the South West Interconnected System portfolio.

TWPS also works with Delta Maintenance at Vales Point and Munmorah Power Stations on the Central Coast and Mount Piper Power Station near Lithgow delivering outage management services.

Transfield Worley Services

Established in 1996, Transfield Worley Services (TWS) is a joint venture between Transfield Services and WorleyParsons.

TWS operates in the hydrocarbons, mining, power, and infrastructure sectors and has a global footprint in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

Services include operations and maintenance (O&M), engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM). TWS also provides cost-effective and innovative services to a wide range of clients.

This includes a range of engineering, project management, procurement, construction, maintenance and shutdown services to Woodside Energy Ltd’s Australian owned and operated assets.

These assets include North Rankin A and Goodwyn A platforms, Karratha LNG plant in Western Australia. This is the largest integrated services contract in Australia.

TWS works closely with clients - sharing best practice and benchmark data from across the industry to deliver improved reliability and safety, and reduce ongoing maintenance costs. With an uncompromising approach to safety, TWS implements and executes strategies to optimise our client’s capital investments.

Transfield Worley TRAGS

Hydrocarbons

In this joint venture with WorleyParsons and TRAGS, we reduce ongoing maintenance costs whilst maintaining plant availability, reliability, integrity and deliver the highest standards of performance in health, safety and the environment. This joint venture secured our first contract in the Gulf Region, with RasGas.
