Project Management

Transfield Services’ Project Management capabilities are embedded across all areas of our business. We undertake significant maintenance, shutdown, turnaround and engineering projects with particular experience in heavy process industries such as power, hydrocarbons and mining and process.

We use established project execution procedures that have been benchmarked in the industry as best practice and provide a complete project management service - from concept to project completion and commissioning. We adopt a flexible approach that can be easily integrated with clients’ in-house processes or those of a third-party engineering provider.

Transfield Services’ Project Management Model is designed to ensure a transparent reporting of all risks. This optimises the client’s capital expenditure, resulting in business and operational goals being achieved efficiently and within budget. The Project Management Model can be applied to both ‘Brownfield’ and ‘Greenfield’ projects.

Each phase of the project is subject to an audit process that requires client approval. The audit process measures health, safety and environment; engineering; procurement; estimating; planning; scheduling; human resource and industrial relations management; budget; reporting and handover.

The Project Management Model promotes an integrated management plan, including:

  • Health, Safety and Environment;
  • Quality and Risk Assurance;
  • Industrial Relations;
  • Subcontractor strategy and management;
  • Planning, scheduling and reporting; and
  • Cost control.
