BlueScope Steel, NSW
Transfield Services has been providing maintenance services to BlueScope Steel at the Port Kembla Steelworks since 2001. We provide detailed planning, scheduling and execution of all baseline and major maintenance activities for all process plant and facilities; manage all major and minor shutdowns; manage all site maintenance subcontractors; and provide cost effective support services.
Sugar Australia, Victoria and Queensland
For Sugar Australia, our services include health, safety, environment and risk programs, maintenance activities at the sugar mills and refineries, material supplies, human resource management and payroll and financial services.
BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance, Queensland
Transfield Services provides dragline and shovel shutdown, breakdown and project services to BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance (BMA) in the Bowen Basin. In this exclusive long-term relationship with BMA, Transfield Services has delivered improved subcontractor safety performance, integrated long-term planning, lower costs per shutdown and increased availability and reliability of assets.
Anglo Coal Australia, Queensland
Transfield Services provides comprehensive maintenance, project management, capital works and site services to Anglo Coal Australia.
Rio Tinto Coal, Queensland
We have formed a relationship with Rio Tinto Coal in the Bowen Basin, Queensland and provide services including maintenance, project management and small capital work projects.
Broadspectrum, Australia
Through Transfield Services’ subsidiary Broadspectrum, we provide instrumentation, electrical and mechanical services to clients including OneSteel, Comalco, BHP Billiton, Mitsubishi, CSBP Kwinana, Straits Resources, Conoco Phillips, Newcrest, Hismelt and Anglo Gold. Broadspectrum specialises in asset management, project management and improving reliability.
Goro Nickel
Transfield Services joint venture, Transfield Services Worley Nouvelle Calédonie (TSWNC) provides mobilisation, early work services and completion and commissioning services for the Goro Nickel project. TSWNC will also provide maintenance services, subcontractor and project management, planned shutdown services and reliability engineering at the nickel refinery when production starts in 2009.
NEW ZEALAND
BlueScope New Zealand Steel, Auckland
At the BlueScope New Zealand Steel mill south of Auckland, Transfield Services provides instrumentation, electrical and mechanical maintenance services, as well as shutdown and sustaining capital works services. The mill annually produces some 650,000 tonnes of flat steel products for both domestic and export markets.
Norske Skog, Kawerau
Transfield Services also provides electrical maintenance and operating services at the Norske Skog pulp and paper mill in Kawerau where in excess of 400,000 tonnes of paper is produced annually for export to Australia, Asia and the South Pacific.
Rio Tinto Aluminium, Invercargill
Transfield Services provides on site technical assistance at the Rio Tinto Aluminium New Zealand aluminium smelter near Invercargill. This is one of the world’s largest aluminium processing plants.
It receives electricity directly from Manapouri Power Station via the national grid at 220,000 volts AC, then converts it to DC on site with technical assistance from Transfield Services’ skilled electrical technicians.

INSER Transfield Services S.A.
We own 50 per cent of Chilean company Instrumentacion Y Servicios S.A. (Inser). The company, now called, INSER Transfield Services S.A. is a leading provider of mining maintenance and capital works services. INSER Transfield Services S.A. subsidiary, Ingenieria Ambiental Y Servicios S.A. (Ingenieria), specialises in dust and mineral extraction from mining and power waste processing. INSER Transfield Services S.A. has more than 1,200 technically-skilled employees and long-term contracts with global clients including BHP Billiton, Codelco and Xstrata.
