New Chief Executive for the Middle East Business

Transfield Services today announced the appointment of Mr Phillip Wratt as Chief Executive for its Middle East business.
Mr Wratt has more than 32 years experience across the oil and gas and building construction industries globally, including in the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
He was most recently Vice President and Regional General Manager, Asia Pacific and Australia for GE Oil and Gas, based in Singapore. Mr Wratt has wide ranging experience in business strategy and development and brings to Transfield Services a strong focus on customer needs and safety.
Transfield Services’ Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Peter Goode, said today: “Mr Wratt has an impressive track record of experience and achievement in key industries globally. This appointment, which will be based in Abu Dhabi, reinforces our commitment to continuing to build our business in the region.”
Mr Wratt will be responsible for managing and growing our business across the Middle East and South East Asia. Our Middle Eastern business contributed around four per cent of total group consolidated revenues in the 2008/2009 financial year.
