Transfield Services opens Middle Eastern Headquarters in Abu Dhabi

Transfield Services has a new Abu Dhabi headquarters, where CEO Middle East and Asia, Mr Phillip Wratt, is now based.
The office – the third in the Middle East, after Dubai, United Arab Emirates and Doha, Qatar – reinforces the Company’s commitment to the region and to building closer ties with customers.
Mr Wratt said the Company’s core capabilities and excellent safety record and process would promote its growth in the region.
“Transfield Services, as part of its partnership with WorleyParsons in Qatar, has completed significant projects in the Middle East, including asset management and major shutdowns for RasGas’ six Liquefied Natural Gas trains,” he said.
“The Company also manages facilities for the Qatar Foundation, Shell and Exxon Mobil, Tornado Towers, 400 mosques in Doha and 31 branches of Doha bank”.
“We are establishing a strong base in the region, through our joint ventures with local and international partners including TRAGS (Qatar) for Oil and Gas contracts; Mannai Corporation (Qatar) for the Oil and Gas and Facilities Management sector; Emdad LLC (Abu Dhabi) for the energy sector; Cape PLC (Middle East) for energy and natural resources and Transdev (France) for the transport sector.”
“Opportunities are increasing and we anticipate further growth throughout the Gulf Region, and potential expansion into Bahrain and The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Gulf region has a solid pipeline of projects that have been identified by Transfield Services and local business partners as great avenues for growth”.
Recently, the IRTIBAAT Consortium, which includes Transfield Services, was short-listed to upgrade, finance and operate a new 327 kilometre highway to link Mafraq to the United Arab Emirates’ western border at Ghweifat.
