Transfield Services’ partnership preferred provider for 30-year Canadian road contract

Transfield Services today announced that its partnership with Dexter Construction Co. Ltd. has been selected as the preferred proponent of a 30-year operations, maintenance and rehabilitation project by the New Brunswick Highway Corporation.
The Route 1 Gateway Project is a Public Private Partnership, which includes the construction of 55 kilometres of a new four-lane highway and upgrades to existing sections of Route 1. The partnership was selected by the Province of New Brunswick to provide operations, maintenance and rehabilitation services.
Transfield Services’ Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Peter Goode, said today: “Our expertise in transport infrastructure continues to secure new work for us in North America. This is another example of our capability to grow our business organically.”
Transfield Services’ North American subsidiary Transportation Infrastructure has secured more than AUD$800 million worth of contracts this financial year, with clients including the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, the Florida Department of Transportation, the District Department of Transportation in Washington D.C. and MAT Concessionaire LLC for the Port of Miami Tunnel.
The contract is expected to be finalised in the next four weeks when further details will be provided.
