Transfield Services secures A$38 million milestone construction contract

Transfield Services has been awarded a strategically significant ten month construction contract with BHP Billiton for its West Cliff Mine Raw Coal and Reliability Improvement Project, near Port Kembla in New South Wales.
Transfield Services Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Peter Goode said today: “This is a strategically significant opportunity for the Company. It provides further support for our recently formed Projects and Engineering Group, which specialise in engineering, procurement and construction of major mechanical engineering projects.
“Work will commence shortly and a highly skilled team will be mobilised.”
Over 85 percent of the Company’s services are delivered under long-term contracts and relationships with key clients.
It has a robust pipeline of work developing in oil and gas, power, defence, transport and social infrastructure, providing continuing diversification for the business.
