Transfield Services secures AUD68 million contract with Aurora Energy

Transfield Services has been awarded a new ten-year AUD68 million contract by Aurora Energy to support their delivery of energy supply services to five of Victoria’s major public hospitals.
Transfield Services will, on behalf of Aurora, provide operations, maintenance and asset management services for the energy supply to Royal Melbourne Hospital, The Alfred, St Vincent’s, Southern Health and Barwon Health from July 2010.
Managing Director and CEO, Dr Peter Goode, said today: “Transfield Services will deliver its expertise in asset management and operations and maintenance to this key industry where energy service continuity is mission critical.”
“We have extensive experience in the provision of 24-hour services for generation, transmission and distribution projects. We look forward to working closely with Aurora Energy, the Department of Health and the hospitals to deliver reliable energy services for the benefit of the Victorian health system,” he said.
“This new contract adds to Transfield Services’ portfolio of low risk operations, maintenance and project management contracts in the health sector.”
“A key component of the contract will be working with our client to meet the Victorian Government’s sustainable energy targets.”
