Transfield Services signs A$124 million in new contracts

Following the announcement made by Transfield Services on 21 September 2010 of preferred tender status, the Company has signed the six year A$88 million contract with long-term client Western Australian Department of Transport for the delivery of asset management and maritime infrastructure projects.

Transfield Services has also been awarded a new three-year A$36 million contract with Amcor Australasia to provide integrated site facilities maintenance services to approximately 40 packaging and corporate sites across Australia.

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Peter Goode, said today: “These contracts demonstrate our ability to extend existing long term relationships with valuable clients by securing additional work, while simultaneously continuing to win new work, with significant new clients in new industries.”

Transfield Services will provide a full range of facility support services across a variety of Amcor businesses including Fibre, Beverage Cans and Closures, Cartons and Cartonboard, Recycling, Flexibles and Commercial sites.

This is the third maritime contract for Transfield Services with the Western Australian Department of Transport, building on its existing 15-year relationship. The Company will now provide design, project management, construction and whole-of-life asset management services as part of an expanded integrated facilities management offering.

The Company provides more than 80 per cent of its services under secure, long-term asset management contracts, and has renewal rates in excess of 95 per cent.

It has a robust pipeline of work developing in power, defence, transport and social infrastructure, providing continuing diversification for the business.
