Transfield Worley Services awarded $700 million LNG contract with Woodside Energy

Transfield Worley Services (TWS) – the 50/50 joint venture between Transfield Services (ASX.TSE) and WorleyParsons (ASX.WOR) – today signed contracts to provide brownfield project and maintenance services to Woodside Energy’s offshore gas production and onshore Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) processing facilities in Western Australia.

The contracts include a new four-year contract with a forecast turnover in the order of $600 million to deliver brownfield project services to Woodside’s offshore and onshore facilities, with a four-year extension option. These facilities include the North West Shelf assets of North Rankin A, Goodwyn A, Karratha Gas Plant, King Bay Supply Base and the Angel platform.

Transfield Worley Services has also signed a two-year contract with a forecast turnover in the order of $100 million to provide maintenance and shutdown services to Woodside’s onshore Karratha gas plant and offshore facilities, with a two-year extension option.

Transfield Services’ Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Dr Peter Goode, said today: “These contract wins extend on our 14-year relationship with Woodside Energy and demonstrate our continued commitment to customers through the safe and efficient delivery of expert technical services.”

Transfield Worley Services also provides technical services to other key global LNG producers including:

  • consolidated maintenance and project services to RasGas’ Qatar-based LNG facilities, and
  • integrated services to Shell Philippines Exploration at its Malampaya gas facilities.

Transfield Services provides on a stand-alone basis consolidated maintenance services to Santos in the Cooper Basin (Queensland), as well as offshore and onshore maintenance services to Origin’s BassGas Facility.
