Transfield Services strengthens management team in Australia and New Zealand

Transfield Services Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Peter Goode has today announced changes to his senior executive team, with names and accountabilities listed below.

Key management changes

After a global search, Gareth Mann has been appointed Chief Executive Resources and Energy in Australia and New Zealand with accountability for accelerating growth and service delivery to clients in this key strategic sector.

Gareth has more than 30 years specialist operational and management experience in the resources and energy sector, having worked for both private and publicly listed engineering and energy sector companies in the United Kingdom, United States, France and Australia.

Gareth joined Transfield Services in August 2010 as Global Account Director Oil and Gas and was most recently Executive General Manager Marketing and Business Development for Resources and Energy.

Philip Wratt has been appointed to the role of Regional Director, Western Australia. He will be responsible for growth and client relationships in Western Australia. He will continue with his management role overseeing the business’s Middle East operations.

Philip has extensive local and international and sector experience, which is critical to achieving the Company’s growth aspirations in the Western Australian market. He has more than 32 years’ experience across the oil and gas, and construction industries in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Bruce James, formerly Chief Executive Resources and Energy – Australia and New Zealand will move to a newly created role of Director, Regional Accounts. Bruce will be responsible for client relationships across the Australia and New Zealand region.

Bruce brings 35 years industry experience to this position, beginning work with Transfield Construction in 1975, and holding leadership roles across the Transfield Group of companies. He has an extensive knowledge of the clients and industries across the sectors that the Company now serves.

“These key management changes will lead the acceleration of growth in these important areas of our business, as we continue our strategic shift towards providing higher value technical services,” said Mr Goode.

The changes take effect immediately.
