Transfield Services respectfully acknowledges Indigenous or First Nation People both past and present as the traditional owners and custodians of the land on which we work globally.
Transfield Services Indigenous Relations Policy recognises the local customary needs of Indigenous people and the significant importance of preserving their culture and customs.
Our Policy is supported by Transfield Services Indigenous Participation Approach which is designed to support urban, regional and remote Indigenous people and their communities.
The five key pillars of our Indigenous Participation Approach are;
- Corporate Governance: including Indigenous relations within our corporate framework
- Cultural competency: increasing our employees understanding and knowledge of Indigenous relations and culture through a range of programs.
- Cultural recognition: creating a company culture that respects and acknowledges Indigenous culture, heritage, values and beliefs.
- Relationships: establishing collaborations with key stakeholders to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes for Indigenous communities, our clients and employees.
- Growth and employment: increasing the involvement of Indigenous people in the success and growth of the Transfield Services business.
