Quality Assurance is the process of verifying or determining whether or not products or services meet or exceed customer expectations. Quality assurance is a process-driven approach with specific steps to help:
- Define the expectations and requirements of the Customer.
- Control the process.
- Verify the requirements have been met.
At Transfield Services the specific steps for achieving quality are Plan, Implement, Review, and Improve, referred to as the PIRI cycle.
- Plan: Establish objectives and processes required to deliver the desired results.
- Implement: Implement the process developed.
- Review: Monitor and evaluate the implemented process by testing the results against the predetermined objectives.
- Improve: Apply actions necessary for improvement if the results require changes.
These steps lead to satisfied customers and ensure the quality of our products and services. Being such a diverse organisation it is not always simple to implement the PIRI cycle and achieve quality, which is why we have a comprehensive Quality Management System.
