TIMEC tops a million at Chevron refinery
Our TIMEC team at Chevron’s Salt Lake City refinery in Utah, USA reached 1.2 million injury-free hours in August, 2009.
TIMEC Senior Project Manager Jim Price said: “This outstanding achievement reflects the team’s continued focus on safety, and commitment to watching out for each other. It takes the support of the client and of the TIMEC team to embody the belief that doing a job safely or not at all is the only way to remain injury free.”
TIMEC has been at the Chevron Salt Lake facility since 2003, providing specialty work through its safety division (Welltech), catalyst division (James-TIMEC) and welding division (World_Wide Welding).
September 15, 2009 will mark TIMEC’s sixth consecutive recordable-free year at the refinery.
As a result of its impeccable safety record at the facility, TIMEC received two meritorious safety performance awards from the NPRA (National Petrochemical & Refiners Association) in May 2009 for its work in 2008. One was awarded to TIMEC Company, Inc. and the other to Welltech.
TIMEC received similar awards from the NPRA for its performance in 2007, 2006, 2005 and 2004.
